About Company

History

The history of the company dates back to 1995, when due to growing demand for export of products from Russian auto-manufacturers, a group of like-minded people established a portside Ro-Ro terminal in Novorossiysk.

Novorossiysk is the only deep-sea port in Southern Russia and traditionally specialised in handling steel products. It is therefore unsurprising that after the dissolution of the USSR, the port’s infrastructure lacked versatility in cargo handling, while initial investments were directed at developing container terminals. At the same time, Transmarine, renamed in 2009 as TMBC Logistics Limited, directed its efforts towards developing the necessary infrastructure to diversify the stevedoring services at Novorossiysk and offer solutions for handling import and export cargoes of vehicles, while complying with manufacturers’ strict quality standards.

Since 2010, the company has acted as a subcontractor for the logistics provider Gefco in Southern Russia connecting Novorossiysk with the hub ports of Derince (Turkey) and Piraeus (Greece) within the Neptune Lines Ro-Ro service network.

The company is a member of the Association of Russian Freight Forwarders.

Clients cite customs clearance, poor quality stevedoring services and the idling of ships during loading as the main risks, when operating in ports in Southern Russia. Entrusting us to handle the “port operations and sea freight” step in the logistics chain enables you to optimise costs while managing risks, thanks to the experience of TMBCL. The company has adopted the quality standards of largest finished vehicle logistics palyers.

Family Business Structure

The company operates as a large family business with two generations of family members working side by side, who understand that the results-oriented approach to logistics services is the sole reason why customers choose TMBCL as their subcontractor.
